Checking the lamp light-up
Does the lamp turn on when the
power is turned on?
YES Go to “Check when the lamp turns off
soon after turning on”.
NO
Is the lamp tight in the socket? YES Securely insert the connectors.
NO
Has the FPC cable to SC3801 come
off or is it loose? YES Securely insert the connectors.
NO
Is rotating sound of the color wheel
heard? NO Check IC3802 and peripheral
circuits.
(Refer to the waveform chart .)
YES Replace the color wheel.
YES
Is approx. 0.7 V applied to TL1706? NO Check IC1701 and peripheral
circuits.
(Refer to the waveform chart .)
YES
Has the harness connected to P702
on the power supply unit come off, or
is it loose?
Otherwise, is it broken? YES Fully insert the connectors or replace
the harnesses.
NO
Dose the lamp turn on after the
replacement? YES Replace the lamp.
NO
Is 340 V DC applied to both ends of
C917? NO Go to “Power supply PWB check”.
YES
Is D908 or D907 short-circuited? YES Replace both D908 and D907.
NO
Is D906 or D910 short-circuited? YES Replace D906 or D910, whichever is
short-circuited.
