In Japan, you cannot call to the emergency number (110, 119 or
118) without inserting a docomo mini UIM card.
A docomo mini UIM card has a security code called PIN code
(

P. 65).
The handset supports only docomo mini UIM card. Change the
UIM at a docomo Shop.
Before inserting or removing the docomo mini UIM card, turn off
the power, position the back facing upwards and remove the
battery pack (
P. 14). Hold the handset securely with your both
hands. After inserting or removing the docomo mini UIM card,
attach the battery pack (

Securely hold the top of the handset, gently
press the center of the back cover and hook the
tip of a finger under the concave portion of the
back cover to remove

Hold the docomo mini UIM card with the IC
(gold) side turned down and set it into the
docomo mini UIM card slot (

)

Push the docomo mini UIM card all the way in (

).

Confirm the direction of the back cover, adjust
it to the direction of the handset and press the
surrounding area (shaded section) of the back
cover securely to attach

Make sure there is no space between the back cover and the
handset.

Pull the lever until the docomo mini UIM card
comes out (

) and pull the docomo mini UIM
card straight out (

Do not allow the docomo mini UIM card to fall when removing
it.

Attach the back cover
Use Battery Pack SH42 exclusive to the handset.
Before attaching or removing the battery pack, turn off the power,
position the back facing upwards and remove the back cover
(

P. 13). Hold the handset securely with your both hands. After
attaching or removing the battery pack, attach the back cover
(

Back cover
Securely close the back cover. If not closed securely, the back
cover may come off and the battery pack may fall out due to
vibration. The waterproof/dustproof performance may be
impaired, resulting in allowing water or dust to get in.
The back cover may be damaged if it is attached or removed
forcibly. Be careful not to apply excessive force on it.
docomo mini UIM card
Note that pulling forcibly or adding forces on the lever may
damage it.
Make sure not to touch or damage the IC (gold) area of the
docomo mini UIM card when handling it. Also, note that
inserting or removing the docomo mini UIM card forcibly may
damage it.
Refer to the docomo mini UIM card user’s guide for more
information on the docomo mini UIM card.
Do not misplace the docomo mini UIM card once it is taken out.
