CHAPTER 3. NOTE FOR SERVICING
Caution:
1. This unit employs a PSRAM instead of a conventional SRAM for
memory. The PSRAM allows to flow a standby current of 20 times
as great as that flowing in an SRAM.
Similarly to the conventional models, the main battery is packed
together with the unit and the backup battery is installed in the
unit. The backup battery may be exhausted before arriving at the
user. In order to prevent against this, power supply to the PSRAM
is electrically halted in the shipment setting.
(Note)
When servicing also, do not leave the backup battery
without necessary treatment.
2. Before executing disassembly, assembly, diagnostic, rewriting of
the flash EEPROM, etc., be sure to save the user data. (Refer to
"4. Data exchange.") After servicing, set the clock to the punctual
time and return the set to the user. (The clock is initialized by
servicing.)
