HOLD FUNCTION (page 23)
To avoid operations by accidentally pressing the
buttons, use the hold function.
Main Unit:
Hold down the
:OFF-HOLD
button for 2 seconds or
more. (You will hear one beep.)
Then "HOLD on" will appear on the remote control.
To cancel the hold mode, press the
:OFF-HOLD
button
for 2 seconds or more. (You will hear two beeps.)
Then "HOLD off" will appear on the remote control.
Remote Control Unit:
To put the unit in the malfunction prevention state,
move the
HOLD
switch in the direction of the arrow.
To cancel the hold mode, return the
HOLD
switch to
its original position.

To move to the beginning of the next track:
During playback, slide the button to
.
To fast-forward audibly (Cue):
During playback, slide the button to
and hold it.
Playback will start when you release the button.
To move to the beginning of the current track:
During playback, slide the button to
.
To fast-reverse audibly (Review):
During playback, slide the button to
and hold it.
Playback will start when you release the button.
To start playback with a desired track:
1. In the stop mode, slide the button to
or
on the remote control to select a track
number.
2. Press the
button.
The selected track will be played back.
INTRO PLAY (page 25)
This function plays the first 9 seconds of each track.
1. Press the MODE button on the remote control
to enter the normal playback or all track repeat
playback mode.
2. While in the stop mode, hold down the
button
on the remote control for 2 seconds or more.
To interrupt playback:
Press the
button on the remote control during play-
back.
Press the
button again to resume playback.
To stop playback:
Press the button during playback.
In about 2 minutes after playback is stopped or paused
and left as it is, the unit will be automatically turned off.
To turn off the power:
Press the button while playback is stopped.
To cancel the operation:
Press the
button.
Interruption or inactivity of about 90 seconds
cancel the setting. The setting is not
changed.
