TROUBLESHOOTING

Not all problems are caused by malfunctions. Before calling for repair, check to see if the symptom can be
cured by following the remedies shown below.

Symptom

Check location and remedy

No steam is discharged

This product uses a method of vaporizing water contained in the
humidification filter and thus no steam can be seen.

The unit does not operate
(Tank water does not decrease)

Properly insert the power plug.(Page10)

Is the power plug properly inserted into the wall outlet?

Since the humidity is controlled by the unit other than during continuous
operation mode and silent mode, humidification will stop when the
set humidity is reached.(page13)

The unit will stop when the room humidity reaches 80% or higher
even during continuous operation mode or silent mode.(page13)

Continuous  operation

display lamp flashes

(Tip-over safety mechanism
tripped)

Has unit been exposed to vibration or has the unit been tilted?

Place the unit on a stable, level surface and press the Power
ON/OFF button again.

Continuous  and  Auto

humidification  operation

display lamps flash

(Temperature abnormality
 detection mechanism
tripped)

Is the temperature where the unit is placed less than 0 C?

Use the unit in at a room temperature higher than 0 C to avoid
water within the unit from freezing.(Page5)

Water Supply  lamp

flashes even when there
 is water in the tank

Is the float caught?

The humidity
does not rise

Is the room larger than the applicable floor area?

Is the room being ventilated or is the floor carpeted?

Humidity may not rise effectively when ventilating, when the walls
and floor are dry and when the floor is carpeted.    Check to see if
there are any changes when using for 1 ~ 2 weeks.(Page6)

Operation does not stop even
after the humidity rises

Use the unit in a location free of direct sunlight and warm air
from heaters.(Page6)

Is the unit exposed to direct sunlight or warm air from a heater?

Use the unit in a mode other than continuous and silent.(Page13)

Is the unit operating in continuous or silent mode?

Clean the tray and tank.(page16,17)

Is the tray dirty or is the water old?

Clean the humidification filter set.(page16)

Is there adhering of water scaling or debris on the humidification filter set?

Remove any debris surrounding the float.(page16)

Is the tray securely inserted into the unit?

Securely insert the tray into the unit.(page12,16)

Volume of air discharged has
decreased

Is there an accumulation of dust in the air filter (intake port)?

Clean the air filter.(page17)

Is there adhering of water scaling or debris on the humidification filter set?

Clean the humidification filter set.(page16)

There is foul odor
