TROUBLE SHOOTING
Before calling for repair, check the symptoms below for possible remedies, since the problem may
not be a malfunction of the unit.
SYMPTOM REMEDY (not a malfunction)
The remote control does not
work
• Has the batteries depleted?
• Are the batteries inserted with correct polarity?
• Is a fluorescent lighting in the room flickering due to
service life?
Odors and smoke cannot be
removed easily
• Are the filters heavily dirty?
The Clean sign lights green
even when the air is dirty
• Is the opening of the dirt sensor blocked or clogged?
• Was the air already dirty when the power plug was
inserted into the wall outlet? (Refer to E-4)
• Dirt sensor cannot detect pollen and dust without
smell.(Refer to E-4)
The Clean sign lights orange
or red even when the air is
clean
• The sensitivity of the sensor becomes unstable when
the opening of the dirt sensor is dirty or is clogged.
Clean the dust around the sensor opening using a
vacuum cleaner.
• Dirt sensor detects insecticide, cosmetics,spray or al-
cohol as well. It is not a malfunction.
The cluster ion lamp remains
green (blue) and does not
change
• During the Clean mode (or Refresh mode), the clus-
ter ion lamp color will not change.
A sound is
heard from
the unit
Click, click
Tick, tick, tick
• This is the sound that is emitted when the unit is in
the Refresh mode.
If the sound is irritating, switch the unit to the Clean
mode.
• This is the sound that is emitted when the unit is gen-
erating cluster ions.
If the sound is irritating, such as when sleeping, etc.,
set the Cluster ion mode to OFF.
The discharged air smells
• The ozone generated by the cluster ion generator may
have an odor. However, the density of ozone gener-
ated is very little and is harmless to the human body.
Furthermore, the ozone decomposes quickly so it does
not accumulate in the room.

About the reduction of standby power
In order to operate the electrical circuits while the power plug is inserted in the wall outlet, this product
consumes about 0.3W of standby power.
(At this time, the power lamp will be on) For the conservation of energy, remove the power plug when
not using the unit
