Creating a disc name
1. Insert a recorded MiniDisc and cancel the group mode.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Select "NAME" by pressing the
or button
and press the ENTER ( ) button.
4. Select "DISC NAME" by pressing the or but-
ton and press the ENTER ( ) button.
You can enter characters now.
5. Press the DISP button to select the type of characters.
Katakana Alphabetic characters (capital letters)
Alphabetic characters (small letters) Numbers and
symbols
6. Select a character by pressing the or button
and press the ENTER ( ) button.
Repeat the operation to enter other characters.
7. After entering all characters, hold down the ENTER
( ) button for 2 seconds or more.
The disc name is created.
Creating a group name
1. Insert a group-recorded MiniDisc.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Select "GrSELECT" by pressing the
or but-
ton and press the ENTER ( ) button.
4. Press the ENTER ( ) button.
" " will flash.
5. Within 5 seconds, select the group to be named by
pressing the or button.
6. When " " lights on, press the MENU button.
7. Select "NAME" by pressing the or button
and press the ENTER ( ) button.
8. When "GROUP NAME" appears, press the ENTER
( ) button.
You can enter characters now.
9. Enter characters in the same procedures as steps 5 – 6
in "Creating a disc name".
10.After entering all characters, hold down the ENTER
( ) button for 2 seconds or more.
The group name is created.
Creating a track name
1. While in the stop mode or pause mode, select the track
by pressing the or button.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Select "NAME" by pressing the
or button
and press the ENTER ( ) button.
4. Select "TRACK NAME" by pressing the or
button and press the ENTER ( ) button.
You can enter characters now.
5. Enter characters in the same procedures as steps 5 – 6
in "Creating a disc name".
6. After entering all characters, hold down the ENTER
( ) button for 2 seconds or more.
The track name is created.
To add a character:
1. Set the unit to the character input mode.
2. Press the – or + to select the character before which
you wish to add another character.
3. Select the character you wish to add.
4. Hold down the ENTER (
) button for 2 seconds or
more.
