OPERATION OF THE APPLIANCE
Note: Make sure the battery is disconnected from the device before performing any operation on the
device.
HOW TO USE THE BATTERY OPERATED HEDGE TRIMMER
●
When using the tool, always use caution and take on a firm and well-balanced position.
●
Where possible, avoid working on wet, slippery ground or in any case on uneven or steep ground
that does not guarantee stability for the operator.
●
Never run, but walk carefully paying attention to the lay of the land and any eventual obstacles.
●
Do not operate in poor lighting. Use the unit only in daylight or good articial light.
●
Access the potential risks of the ground to be mown and take all necessary precautions to ensure
your own safety, especially on slopes or on bumoy, slippery or unstable ground.
●
Do not use the tool if you are unable to hold it with both hands or keep it steady on your legs while
working.
●
Never allow children or persons unfamiliar with these instructions to use the tool.
●
Never use the tool:
●
When people, especially children or pets are in the vicinity
●
If the user is tired or unwell, or has taken medicine, drugs alcohol or any substances which may slow
his reflexes and compromise his adjustment;
●
If the guards are damaged or have been removed.
TECHNIQUES FOR USING THE BATTERY OPERATED HEDGE TRIMMER
●
Always observe the safety regulations and use the most suitable cutting techniques.
HANDLING
●
Whenever the tool is to be handled or transported ou must:
●
Turn off the motor, wait for the cutting device to stop and remove the battery from its compartment;
●
Only hold the using the hand grips and position the cutting device in the opposite direction to that
used during operation.
●
When using a vehicle to transport the tool, position it so that it can cause no danger to persons and
fasten it firmly.
●
Before tackling a job for the first time, it is advisable to gain the necessary familiarity with the tool
and the most suitable techniques, finding out how to firmly grip the tool and perform the movements
required by this particular job.
CHARGE STATUS
To display the amount of charge lefr in the battery press the charge level indicator button. Fig.2.
PREPARATION FOR USE

Before starting work please:
●
Check that the trigger switches and the safety switch should move freely without forcing and return
autimatically and rapidly back to their neutral position;
●
Check that the cooling air vents are not obstructed.
●
Check that hand grips and protection devices are clean and dry, correctly mounted and well
fastened to the machine.
●
Check that the machine is not showing signs of wear or damage due to knocks or other causes, and
carry out the necessary repairs.
●
Check that the battery is in good working condition and there are no signs of damage.
●
NEVER use the machine with a damaged or worn battery. Charge the battery according to the
instructions in the "Charging" section.
STARTING AND STOPPING
●
Before starting the motor:
●
Remove the blade protection devices.
●
Make sure the blade is not touching the ground or any other object.
●
Make sure the handgrip is locked in the centre position.
●
Insert the battery to the bottom of the trimmer.
