designed to pump away the waste from a WC and a
washbasin and a shower (see
below for full usage details).
The
SANISAN
®
models are for domestic use only.
Installed and used correctly,
SANISAN
®
will give
consistent and reliable service.

INSTALLATION
WARNING:
SANISAN
®
must be connected to WC pan with a
horizontal otlet spigot conforming to EN33 or EN 37.
The macerator and its connections is integral with the
WC pan itself. The access to the apparatus must be
facilitated for control and maintenance.
The crusher has fastenings preventing it turning or from
floating.
CONNECTION TO A WC
Pull the flexible sleeve over the pan spigot
Position the jubilee clip over the edge of the flexible sleeve,
and tighten with a screwdriver

CONNECTION OF DISCHARGE PIPE TO SANISAN
®
1
Insert one of the elbow
into the exit pipe from the unit,
and turn in the required direction. Secure with jubilee clip.
Fit the flexible hose
to the other end of elbow
.
Connect
• a 22mm discharge pipe (copper or CPVC) to the flexible
hose
, and secure with a jubilee clip.
• alternatively fit a 32/22mm reducer
into the hose,
and install with 32mm pipework.

Insert the elbow
into the exit pipe from the unit, and turn
it to the direction required. Fit the non-return valve
to the
other end.
WARNING:
The non-return valve
should be
positioned so that the embossed arrow is on the top,
and pointing in the direction of flow.
Connect the discharge pipework directly onto the non-return
valve in 20/28mm. Alternatively, cut back the end of the
non-return valve and fit 28/32mm discharge pipework.
Secure both ends of the non-return valve with jubilee clips
.

Use a suitable cutter to make the opening for the washbasin
entry. There is a ridge where the hole has been partially
pre-cut. Cut the hole with care and deburr it, to avoid leaks
when the adapter
is fitted. Insert the adapter
into the lid.
Slide the washbasin waste pipe into the adapter.
CONNECTION OF A SHOWER
Use the flexible connector
to connect the
shower waste to one of the side inlets. Secure with
plastic clips
and
. Plug the unused inlet with
blanking plug
after greasing the joints.
WARNING:
Ensure when connecting a shower to the
SANISAN
®
that the underside of the shower tray is
raised by at least 12mm from the floor.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
The electrical installation should be carried out by a
qualified person, and conform to BS 7671 1992 requi-
rements for electrical installation.
• The
SANISAN
®
requires a 220/240V single phase 50 Hz
supply (UK specification) and should be connected to an
unswitched fused wiring connector protected by a 5 amp
fuse, or circuit breaker set to 30mA.
• The unit should be sited at least 6m away from a shower
tray.
