Close the upper cover completely and make sure you hear the closing sound.

Press the paper guide (PUSH circle
area) from the rear side diagonally to
flatten the circle of the paper guide.
Press the paper guide (PUSH circle
area) from the front side diagonally to
pop the 1-inch core of paper guide out.
