Operation with alkaline non-rechargeable batteries
CAUTION!
A device operated with alkaline disposable batteries
cannot be charged in the docking station. A message
to this effect appears on the display if the device is
placed into the docking station.
When equipped with new disposable alkaline batteries, the
EX-TEC PM 4
has an available operating time of at least 12 hours
(depending on the capacity of the accumulator used).
Follow the steps below to change the batteries:
z
Using the supplied screwdriver, unscrew the bottom two screws
on the back of the device.
z
Open the battery compartment.
z
Insert the new battery cells in the direction indicated.
z
Close the battery compartment.
z
Re-tighten the bottom two screws on the back of the device.
Note:
If it takes longer than 120 seconds to change the
batteries, the date and time will have to be reset
the next time you switch the device on. All the other
data will be saved.
