remove the plug from the wall socket,

socket, never pull on the power cord;
always grip the plug itself.

Before using for the fi rst time
Before the appliance is used for the fi rst
time, the blender jug and the lid should
be thoroughly cleaned as described in the
section General Care and Cleaning .
Switch settings
The following settings can be selected:
P The appliance remains switched on as
long as the rotary switch is held in this
position
0 The appliance is switched off
1 Low power
2 Maximum power
Short-term operation
The appliance is designed to process
average domestic quantities of food; it
can be operated without interruption for
a maximum of 60 seconds, after which it
should be allowed to cool down.
Safety switch
A special safety switch in the motor housing
ensures that the appliance can only be
operated once the blender jug and lid are
properly locked in position.
Before removing the blender jug, make
sure that the rotary control is in position 0 .
This also applies when fi tting the blender
jug to the motor housing. If the control is
not in its off-position ( 0 ), the motor will start
immediately.
Operation
∙ Fit the blender jug to the motor housing
with its handle on the right and lock it
by turning anti-clockwise until the lock
symbol and arrow mark are properly
aligned.
