Preparing the glass jars
∙
Ensure the glass jars are clean and dry.
∙
Add 1 to 2 teaspoonful of natural yoghurt
(without sugar or fruit juice) into the glass
jars.
∙
Dry culture can be used instead of natural
yoghurt.
∙
Divide the yoghurt powder into the jars,
following the manufacturer’s instructions.
The maximum amount per jar is about
160 ml.
∙
Brie

y heat up the milk to 90 °C and then
allow it to cool to approx. 40 °C.
∙
U. H. T. milk does not need to be heated
to a high temperature.
∙
Divide the milk equally into the glass
jars and mix the contents gently but
thoroughly.
∙
With warm milk, it will take 5 to 6 hours to
make yoghurt.
∙
If cold milk is used, it will take 9 to 10 hours
to make yoghurt.
Operation
∙
Set up the yoghurt maker in a room at
normal room temperature.
∙
Now place the lids on the jars and
arrange the jars in the yoghurt maker.
Cover the yoghurt maker with the top lid.
∙
Connect the appliance to the mains.
∙
A beep signal is heard. The display brie

lights up blue, showing ‘
---
’.
∙
Now press the timer button. The

y lights up blue and the
hour indicator starts
fl
ashing. Use the
+/-
buttons to set the number of hours
required.
∙
Press the timer button again. Use the
+/-
buttons to set the minutes (if necessary).
∙
Press the Start/Stop button. The
appliance switches on and the remaining
running time is shown in the display.
∙
The yoghurt maker should now be left
undisturbed until the yoghurt has set.
Avoid draught and shocks.
∙
Once the pre-set processing time has
elapsed,
fi
ve beep signals are heard and
the display shows ‘
---
’.
∙
Remove the plug from the wall socket,
transfer the warm jars to the refrigerator
and allow the yoghurt to develop further
for a few hours.
∙
If you wish to make fruit yoghurt, add
the fruit to the warm yoghurt before you
transfer the jars to the refrigerator to cool.
∙
Once you have made your
fi
rst batch of
yoghurt, reserve the required amount of
the yoghurt for your next batch.
∙
Remark:
After several cycles the yoghurt
may become watery, and it is then time
to restart the process with fresh natural
yoghurt or fresh yoghurt powder.
∙
To interrupt the process before the pre-set
time has expired, use the
+/-
buttons to
set the timer back to ‘
0
’ and then remove
the plug from the wall socket.
Interruption to the power supply
If the power supply is interrupted for any
reason, the pre-set processing time will
remain in store for 10 minutes.
Should the power cut last longer than hat,
the appliance will need to be re-started.
Cleaning and care
∙
Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is
disconnected from the power supply and
has cooled down completely.
∙
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do
not clean the appliance with liquids or
immerse it.
∙
Use only a clean, dry or slightly damp
