Before using for the fi rst time
Remove any packing materials completely,
and clean the appliance as described in the
section
General care and cleaning
below.

Operation
Before using the appliance, fi ll the water
–
tray with cold, clean water, observing the
min/max
markings.
Fit the collection tray onto the housing
–
and make sure it is safely attached.
Stack the required number of steaming
–
bases and tops onto the collection tray
one by one, and then put in the food to be
cooked. Always start with the base marked
‘BOTTOM’, followed by the top with the
same marking. Next, use the ‘MIDDLE’
base with the corresponding top, followed
by the ‘TOP’ base and top.
Larger food items require a longer cooking
–
time; they should therefore be placed in
the lower steaming top.
If required, the food steamer may be
–
operated without the middle and top
steaming bases.
When cooking rice, the rice container
–
must be placed into the lowest steaming
top. Fill the container with a maximum of
375g of rice and use a maximum of 375
ml of water.
Always use the steaming tops when
z
cooking food, and do not put any food
directly into the water or in collection
trays.
Place the lid on the upper steaming top.
–
Carefully check that all parts of the
–
assembly have been correctly fi tted and
are safely connected.
Insert the plug into a suitable wall socket.
–
Switch the steamer on and select the
–
desired programme.
A beep signal indicates that the steaming
–
process is complete, when the appliance
goes automatically into ‘keep-warm’
mode. Switch off , lift the steaming tops
and bases from the appliance and place
them on a heat-resistant surface that is also
