8 Receiver administration operations

8.1 How to change IP settings of the PolaRx5S

The

P settings of the PolaRx5S can be con

ﬁ

gured in the Ethernet window of the

Communication menu. By default, the PolaRx5S is con

ﬁ

gured to use DHCP to obtain an

address. You can specify a

address in the TCP/

P Settings

eld as shown in Figure 8-1.

n Static mode, the receiver will not attempt to request an address via DHCP but will use the

P address, netmask, gateway, domain name and DNS. DNS1 is the primary DNS

and DNS2 is the backup DNS.

n DHCP mode, the arguments

P, Netmask, Gateway, Domain,

DNS1, and DNS2 are ignored.

Having entered the settings, click on

in the pop-up dialog as

shown, as the receiver needs to be reset for the new settings to become active.
