2. Important information for your safety
The wave.com4 Infra controller has been manufactured according
to the applicable safety regulations. However, hazards may arise
during use. Therefore adhere to the following safety information and
the specific warning notices in the individual chapters. Also observe
the safety information for the devices connected.
2.1. Intended use
The wave.com4 Infra controller is designed exclusively for control-
ling and regulating infrared radiators and infrared heat plates/foils
of up to 3 kW (2 heating circuits each 1.5 kW).
The power unit may only be used with one of the mains cables
listed in the accessories.
The power unit may only be operated in conjunction with one of the
control units listed in the accessories.
Also observe the instructions in the operating manual for that product.
EN 60335-2-53 states that infrared modules may only be operated
in remote control mode if the cabin door is equipped with an inter-
lock (e.g. door monitor) which overrides standby mode for remote
control when the cabin door is opened.
The wave.com4 Infra controller is only suitable for use with
intrinsically safe infrared radiators and infrared heat plates
or foils. If using products which are not intrinsically safe,
a safety temperature limiter (STL) must be connected.
