PURPOSE OF USE AND FEATURES OF THE ROBOTIC VACUUM

CLEANER

 ■

The robotic vacuum cleaner can be used for cleaning various types of hard floors

such as wooden or laminate floating floors, tiles, vinyl, etc. and carpets with a low

pile. While vacuuming, the robotic vacuum cleaner effectively combines various

routes to optimally clean the entire floor area.

 ■

The robotic vacuum cleaner is equipped with two rotary brushes

A18

 and

A19

which rotate counter each other and thereby effectively remove hair, animal fur, etc.

The side rotary brush

A11

sweeps dirt out of hard-to-reach places along walls and

furniture and out of corners.

 ■

The motorised rubber wheels

A13

 and

A17

 protect sensitive floors against

scratching and can travel over threshold strips up to a height of 1 cm and ride on

to a 1 cm high carpet. The infrared sensors

A5

 in the front bumper

A1

 prevent the

robotic vacuum cleaner from colliding with obstacles. Safe operation in rooms with

stairs is made possible by the bottom anti-stair-fall sensors

A8, A12

 and

A15

 ■

In the event that the voltage on the battery falls below a certain level, the robotic

vacuum cleaner will automatically search out the charging base

B5

 and dock into it

to recharge before further use.

CONTROL ELEMENTS AND INDICATORS OF THE ROBOTIC

VACUUM CLEANER

POWER BUTTON A7(ON/OFF)

 ■

Serves to turn the power to the robotic vacuum cleaner on and off.

BUTTON A4 (AUTO)

 ■

Serves to start and stop the automatic cleaning mode.

DISPLAY A2

 ■

The set system time, the scheduled cleaning time and any system error messages

of the robotic vacuum cleaner are shown here. The described information is only

displayed during operation or while scheduling cleaning.

BATTERY POWER LEVEL AND CHARGING INDICATOR C1

 ■

During operation and in the stand-by mode, it shows the battery power level by

means of lit vertical lines. The lines gradually appear from left to right while the

vacuum cleaner is charging.

BUTTON C2 (DOCK)

 ■

Button

C2

has two functions. When the button is pressed while the vacuum cleaner

is running or in the standby mode, the vacuum cleaner will automatically seek out

the charging base. When pressed in the set scheduled cleaning mode, it serves to

select the day of the week.

BUTTON C3 (CLOCK)

 ■

Button

C3

has two functions. When pressed in the stand-by mode or during the

charging process, the vacuum cleaner will switch to the system time setting

function. Pressing it again in this mode serves to set the hours. In the cleaning

planning mode it serves to set the hours.

BUTTON C4 (SCH)

 ■

Button

C4

has two functions. When pressed in the stand-by mode or during the

charging process, the vacuum cleaner will switch to the planned cleaning time

function. Pressing it again in this mode serves to set the minutes. In the system time

setting mode it serves to set the minutes.

BUTTON C5 (SPOT)

 ■

Pressing button

C5

starts the cleaning mode in which the vacuum cleaner moves

in straight parallel lines and vacuums an area of approximately 1.5 × 1.5 metres.

PREPARING THE ROBOTIC VACUUM CLEANER FOR OPERATION

INSTALLING AND USING THE SIDE ROTARY BRUSH

 ■

The side rotary brush

A11

is intended for smooth floor surfaces and ensures

effective cleaning in corners, along walls and furniture.

 ■

If the robotic vacuum cleaner is not supplied with the rotary brush already installed,

it is necessary to attach it. Turn the vacuum cleaner upside down. Slide the brush

A11

on to the pin with the threaded hole. Screw the brush to the vacuum cleaner

using the supplied screwdriver. Tighten the screw gently, taking care not to strip

the thread. Turn the robotic vacuum cleaner back over to the operating position.

 ■

When using the robotic vacuum cleaner to clean rooms with carpets, remove

the side rotary brush. When removing it, proceed in the reverse sequence to its

installation.

INSERTING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY

 ■

The robotic vacuum cleaner is equipped with a Li-ion battery

A16

. If the battery is

packed separately, it is necessary insert it into the robotic vacuum cleaner before

first use. Use only the original battery type.

 ■

Turn the vacuum cleaner upside down. Ensure that the power switch

A7

 is in

position 0 (off).

 ■

Connect the battery connector

F3

 to connector

F4

, which is located in the battery

compartment

F1

. The battery can only be connected in one direction.

 ■

Press the latches on the underside of the base

F2

of the battery in the direction

of the arrows, insert the battery into the battery compartment

F1

, release the

latches and use your hand to slide the battery into the battery compartment until

an audible click is made. Then turn the robotic vacuum cleaner back over to the

operating position.

 ■

Remove the battery in reverse sequence. Before removing the battery, always check

that the power switch

A7

is set to position 0 (off).

 ■

When the robotic vacuum cleaner will not be used for an extended period of time,

take out the battery and store it in a dry, clean and cool place out of children‘s reach.

LOCATION AND CONNECTION OF THE CHARGING BASE

 ■

The charging base

B1

serves to recharge the battery and the vacuum cleaner must

have good access to it.

 ■

Locate the charging base against a wall on a hard, even and dry surface within reach

of a power socket. Make sure that there are no stairs, furniture or obstacles within

a distance of 1 m on the left and right of the charging base and within a distance of

2 m in front of the charging base, that would prevent the robotic vacuum cleaner

from finding the charging base and docking successfully.

 ■

If the vacuum cleaner does not succeed in docking on the first attempt, it will

continue trying until it connects to the base.

 ■

Insert the power adapter plug

B2

 into socket

B6

of the charging base, and insert the

power cord plug into a power socket. Place the power cord in such a way that it does

not tangle into the cleaning brushes of the robotic vacuum cleaner.
