CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Attention:

Prior to any kind of cleaning, turn off the robotic vacuum cleaner

by setting switch

A7

 to position

0

 (off) and disconnect the

charging base

B5

 from the power socket.

For cleaning, never use abrasive cleaning products, solvents, etc.

Neglecting cleaning and maintenance may negatively affect

the functioning of the vacuum cleaner and lead to its reduced

performance.

DUST CONTAINER AND FILTER

 ■

We recommend emptying out and cleaning the dust container

A14

 after every

use. After pushing down the latches

G1

, slide the container out of the body of the

vacuum cleaner.

 ■

Push down the latches

H2

on the sides of the container, tilt down the cover

H3

 and

tilt up the lid

H1

. Finally, slide out the dust filter

H4

. Dump the dirt out of the dust

container. For hygiene reasons, we recommend doing this away from living areas.

 ■

Thoroughly clean the dust container and the filter using the brush

B8

. Then, clean

the dust container using a damp cloth.

 ■

In the event of greater soiling, the dust filter and container can be completely

washed under running water.

ATTENTION

: Before washing, always first slide the fan

unit

I2

out of the dust container by pressing button

I1

. Then wash the dust container

and filter with water and dry it well. Click the fan unit back in.

 ■

Put the filter

H4

back into the dust container. Make sure that the filter is completely

dry before doing so. Close the lid

H1

 and click in the cover

H3

. Put the dust container

back in its place in the vacuum cleaner.

ROTARY BRUSHES

 ■

Push down latch

J1

 of the lifting cover

J3

, which holds both brushes

A18

 and

A19

 in

place. Raise the lid and slide out both brushes.

 ■

Remove any dirt and material (dust, wound on hair, animal fur, etc.) from both of

the brushes. Remove the bearings from the ends of the brushes and clean them.

Put the bearings back on.

 ■

Using a dry or very lightly dampened cloth, clean out the storage compartment for

both the brushes.

 ■

Reinstall the rotary brushes back in reverse sequence to their removal.

Attention:

In the event that an excessive amount of dirt accumulates under

the brush bearing, there is a  risk of permanently damaging the

vacuum cleaner. Regularly inspect the condition of the bearings.

Do not use the vacuum cleaner without the bearings. In the

event that the bearings are damaged or lost, please contact the

service department of the manufacturer and arrange replacement

bearings.

SIDE ROTARY BRUSH

 ■

Remove the side rotary brush

A11

by screwing out the fastening screw and pulling

it upwards. Remove any dirt and material from the rotary brush and from the area

where it is attached. After cleaning, slide the brush back and secure it in place using

the screw. If it is worn out, replace it with a new one.

OTHER COMPONENTS OF THE ROBOTIC VACUUM CLEANER

 ■

Regularly wipe the surface of the robotic vacuum cleaner using a soft dry wiping

cloth.

 ■

After every cleaning session or at least once per week, clean the sensors located on

the bumper bar

A1

, sensors

A8

A12

A15

on the underside of the robotic vacuum

cleaner. Use a dry, soft cloth or cotton buds to clean it. Do not spray cleaning agents

directly on to the sensors or into the sensor openings.

 ■

At least once per week or more frequently, clean the front swivel wheel

A10

motorised wheels

A13

 and

A17

 as follows:

  -   first remove any coarser dirt from the front swivel wheel and the motorised

wheels

  -   clean all the wheels around their entire perimeter using a lightly dampened cloth

and wipe them dry

  -   clean the area around the wheels

 ■

Regularly clean the vents on the fan unit

I2

.

CHARGING BASE

 ■

At least once per week, clean the surface of the charging base

B5

 including the

charging contacts

B7

using a soft dry wiping cloth.

STORAGE

 ■

When not using the robotic vacuum cleaner for an extended period of time, do the

following:

 ■

Clean the robotic vacuum cleaner as described in chapter Cleaning and

maintenance.

 ■

Disconnect the battery

A16

and remove it from the robotic vacuum cleaner as

described in chapter INSERTING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY.

 ■
