4)  Place the prepared ingredients piece by piece into the feed tube and using the plunger slowly

push them down on to the rotating stainless steel strainer. Do not exert excessive force. Juice the
ingredients slowly to achieve the maximum possible yield.

5)  During the juicing process, the juice will go to the juice jug and the pulp is separated and collected

in the pulp container. You can empty out the pulp container while juicing, however, first turn the
control dial to position "0" (off) and disconnect the power cord from the power socket. Then
release the safety arm, remove the lid and carefully take out the container. Before continuing with
the juicing process, put the empty pulp container back in its place and return the lid and lock the
appliance with the safety arm. Then connect the power cord to the power socket and you can start
the juicer again.

Attention:

This appliance is designed only for short term use. When juicing larger batches, do not use this
juicer continuously for more than 60 seconds and always allow the juicer to cool down sufficiently
between the individual runs for at least 60 seconds. After three juicing cycles, allow the appliance
to cool down for at least 15 minutes.

6)  When you have finished using it, turn the juicer off, disconnect it from the power socket and clean

it out according to the instructions contained in the chapter Cleaning and maintenance.

USEFUL TIPS

Before you start using the juicer, read the following tips which will help you achieve maximum juice
yield, an optimal taste and also make your work easier:

•

Only use fresh and ripe fruit and vegetables as they contain more juice. The following types of
fruit and vegetables are particularly suitable for juicing: pineapple, apple, orange, grapes, melons,
cucumbers,  carrot,  celery,  beetroot,  tomatoes,  etc.  Do  not  juice  unripe  or  overripe  fruits  and
vegetables as they could negatively affect the taste of the juice.

•

With root vegetables (such as carrot or beetroot), always check before juicing that you have removed
all soil, tops and leaves, and that you have washed everything thoroughly.

•

Fruits with large, hard seeds or stones (e.g. nectarines, peaches, mangoes, apricots, plums and
cherries) must have their seeds or stones removed prior to juicing.

•

There is no need to remove edible peels (e.g. from apples, pears). It is only necessary to remove thick
rinds (e.g. on oranges, pineapples). Furthermore, always also remove the white fibres in the centre
of citrus fruits because they have a bitter taste.

•

When preparing apple juice, remember that its thickness depends on the type of apples that you
are processing. The juicier the apple, the less thick the juice will be. Apple juice turns brown very
quickly. You can slow down this process by adding a few drops of lemon juice.

•

This juicer is not suitable for processing leafy vegetables, herbs or fruits such as bananas, avocados,
figs.

•

If you decide to store the juice in a refrigerator, do not leave it there for longer than a day. Freshly
made juices quickly loses valuable vitamins.
