Solution
No sound is
being recorded�
Make sure your mixer or amplifier is turned on and phantom power is engaged�
The fader of the channel or master volume on your
mixing console is turned all the way down�
Your preamp gain is turned all the way down�
Make sure the microphone is properly connected and connections are secure�
Check your cable to make sure it’s reliable� Try switching it with another cable�
The sound is
distorted�
Turn on the microphone’s attenuation pad�
Move the microphone away from the sound source�
Too much low-
frequency noise
or rumble is
being recorded�
Turn on the high-pass filter�
Turn off air conditioners, fans, heaters or other devices
that might be interfering with your recording�
