No additional sling or device shall be between the load and the fall arrestor cable. It shall be
ensured that the working stroke of the load shall not exceed the maximum length of the load
arrestor cable.
In the case of fall, the load will be stopped.
The damaged or broken fall indicator will indicate that the fall has occurred.
After a fall, the load arrestor should be serviced immediately.
3 - Servicing :
In case of standard use (more than 10 cycles per day), the servicing of the load arrestor shall
be at least on a yearly basis.
In case of less often operation (less than 10 cycles per day), the servicing can be every two
years. The servicing shall be performed by an authorized Capital Safety Group service centre.
4 - Inspection :
Between servicing, the load arrestor shall be visually inspected by a competent person to
ensure that the device is working properly and in good condition.
It will be performed on regular basis depending of the rate of use and environment conditions.
The visual inspection shall be as per the following :
Verify that the karabiner is locked and has no damage or excessive corrosion
Test that the load arrestor lock correctly when pulling the cable down quickly. (A)
