Examples of non-suitable floors
As explained below, the Rapid 220 test system should not be installed on technical or floating floors,
floors covered by sound-deadening materials.
Technical floor
Also designated as “floating floor” or “raised floor”, this is not suitable to use the test system at
maximum speed.

Sound deadening floor
Same as the technical floor, the structure of a sound-deadening floor is not rigid enough: this might
impair the system performance and measurement accuracy.
