3.
Connect a serial device to the RS-485 interface:
–
Full duplex (standard): Connect 4 wires.
–
Half duplex (optional): Connect 2 wires to A and B and
short-circuit A–Y and B–Z with the jumpers included
in delivery.
–
Ground the shield of the RS-485 interface cable.

Connect the SU-302 with the USB cable included in deliv-
ery to the client or an industrial USB Deviceserver INU-100.
5.
Clip the snap ferrite included in deliver onto the part of
the USB cable that is closest to the SU-302.
If you attached the snap ferrite in an incorrect position,
use the key included in delivery to open it.
Important:
Prevent signal reflection.
To do so, installing termination resistors might be
required. Whether termination resistors are
required and their size depends on your
installation environment.
