3.3.11 Serial ports
Introduced with Qseven
®
specifications Rel.2.0, on the golden finger connector there is the
possibility to have one Serial port (TX/RTS#/RX/CTS# signals, pins 171, 172, 177, 178 of the
connector) at TTL level. Since most common use of Serial ports require that they are available at
RS-232 electrical level, on SECOCQ7-mITX2.0 Carrier board it has been integrated an RS-232
transceiver.
This port is carried out on a double standard DB-9 male connector, CN26 (the upper one DB9
male). The pinout is standard for this kind of connector, but it is reported here following for
completeness of documentation.

On the second DB9 connector (the lower one) it is reported a CAN port, whose signals come from

golden finger connector and are carried out through a CAN transceiver SN65HVD232.
Pinout of CAN Connector is reported in the following table:

CAN interface can optionally be terminated with a 120Ω Resistor, in case SECOCQ7-mITX2.0
Carrier Board is at one of the end of CAN line. To enable this termination, is necessary to use
jumper JP7.
