4.3 Advanced CMOS Configuration
After the selection of this choice, it will appear the following table:
The selections above mentioned are just as an example, they can be different from default values.
Most fields allow two selections:
Disabled / Enabled
i.e., there is only the chance of enable or disable corresponding operations during the system boot.
4.3.1 Boot as fast as possible
If enabled, this option tries to speed the boot sequence. Please notice that this option is less
effective than other ones, that can avoid time waste during the boot sequence (i.e., the seek of an
Hard Disk or a Floppy Disk Drive if we already know that there are not).
4.3.2 Display setup message
If enabled, this option displays the message: “
PRESS CTRL+ALT+ESC OR DEL FOR SETUP
”.
4.3.3 Wait to ease setup entry
This option inserts a wait state to facilitate the entry into setup menu.
4.3.4 Display tests behaviour
If “
Disabled
” it eliminates the message visualisation at initial test.
4.3.5 System configuration box
If “
Enabled”
it shows a window, which contains information regarding the board configuration at
boot.
4.3.6 Memory test tick
When enabled, a sound will be emitted from speaker during RAM test.
