Connection via USB cable:
There is a mini-USB port on the bottom of
the camera behind the bottom flap. You can connect the camera to your
computer using the provided USB cable.
Regardless of whether the camera is switched on or off, it automatically
switches to USB mode, which is recognizable by the blue USB icon on the
camera screen.
PC/Windows:
The camera installs itself on the computer as an additional
drive. Double-click to open the drive. Within the folder ‘DCIM’ is the folder
‘100MEDIA’ with all your recorded photo and video files. For every thousand
photos, your camera will create a new folder. The new folders will be named
‘101MEDIA’, then 102MEDIA and so on. Once you have opened the drive,
you can copy or move the folders or individual files to your computer.
Card reader:
Using a memory card reader (not included), you can copy
photos and videos directly from the memory card to the computer. If neces-
sary, please consult the card reader’s instruction manual for further inquiries.
12. External power supply
External power supply:
The camera can be operated using an external
power supply (find SECACAM accessories at www.secacam.com). A 12V
power supply with at least 1.5 A and a 3.4 mm external and 1.7 mm internal
diameter connector (internal plus pole, external minus pole) is required. The
corresponding socket is located at the bottom of the camera. Remove the
batteries when operating the camera with an external power supply. Be
aware that rechargeable batteries cannot be recharged in the camera using
an external power supply.
External battery box:
Using a 12V lead battery will maximize your SECA-
CAM’s operating time, making sure that your property is always secure.
Having a capacity of 4.5 Ah, these batteries are the ideal long-term energy
source for the SECACAM Raptor Mobile. Please note that a suitable cable
with the correct polarity (positive pole inside) must be purchased as well as
an additional charger suitable for the lead acid battery.
