ASSEMBLY
To identify item numbers refer to the parts diagram.

3.1.1. Oil moving parts and grease end of pump piston (8) and ball joint of hydraulic unit (6).
3.1.2. Assemble wheels (19) in base frame (4) with axles (8) and secure with circlips (15).
3.1.3. Assemble pivot wheels (21) to frame (4) with bolts (18) passed through washers (11) and secured with nuts (10).
3.1.4. Carfully seat and steady the mast (3) on frame (4) and secure with the six bolts (22), washers (12) and nuts (23).
3.1.5. Mount main jib (2) on the mast by passing axle (9) through head and securing with circlips (16). Fix the hydraulic unit (6) to jib (2) with

pin (5) securred with circlips (14).

3.1.6. Slide the extension jib (1) into the main jib (2) and secure with pin (7), circlips (17) and (13). Fix knob (20) onto the end.

Check that all parts are correctly secured, complete and not damaged. If you have a problem contact your supplier immediately.

3.2.

PRIMING THE UNIT

Before first use it is necessary to prime the hydraulic system as follows:

3.2.1. Open hydraulic valve by turning to left and then pump the unit 10-20 times. This will flush hydraulic system and purge any air that may

have entered during transit.

3.2.2. Pull crane jib up slightly, close valve and pump the handle. The jib will now rise. Pump the jib all the way up once and lower it again.

(this will confirm acceptable oil level). The crane is now ready.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR:

FIXED FRAME CRANE

Models:

WD10, WD15, WD20 & WD25.

Thank you for purchasing a Sealey product. Manufactured to a high standard this product will, if used according to these instructions

and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.

1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

3

Keep crane, and lifting slings, support and beams in good working order and condition. Follow the inspection requirements as described

in chapter 5.

Take immediate action to repair or replace damaged parts by contacting your supplier. Ensure that all accessory lifting

devices are suitably certified. If crane is damaged immediately remove from service.

3

Ensure the surface on which the crane is used is level and firm, being capable of sustaining the crane and the maximum load.

Never use crane on tarmacadam or on soft surfaces.

3

Ensure the crane jib extension is locked in fixed jib position by means of the lock split pin.

3

Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the working area.

3

Keep working area clean and tidy, and free from unrelated materials, and ensure that the work area has adequate lighting.

3

Ensure that load does not exceed the crane’s maximum lifting capacity. Overloading the crane is dangerous. Where appropriate, use only

the lifting points recommended by the manufacturer of the item to be lifted, i.e. vehicle engine.

3

Before lifting the load ensure the crane jib is lowered to the lowest possible position, and ensure there are no obstacles which may snag

the load whilst being lifted, and that the area above the jib is clear.

7

Do not apply any sideways pressure to the crane during lifting or suspension of load.

3

To avoid injury, be fully aware of your own and other persons location in relation to the lifting, and lowering of the load.

3

Keep a sound footing and balance, and ensure floor is not slippery.

3

Ensure the centre of gravity always remains inside the crane base.

7

Do not harness the load to be lifted at an angle, and do not allow the load to swing during lifting.

7

Do not allow load to drop suddenly. Lower load with care and ensure you are fully aware of surface condition onto which load is to be lowered.

7

Do not operate the hydraulic power unit beyond its maximum stroke as indicated on the label.

7

Do not load beyond rated capacity for each specified jib position as indicated in chapter 2. The capacity of crane reduces as jib is extended.

7

Do not position any part of your body beneath the load, and do not climb on the crane.

7

Do not use the crane to move or transport a load around the workshop. The crane is a lifting device only.

7

Do not attempt to adjust the safety valve, as this has been set and sealed by the manufacturer.

7

Do not use this product to perform a task for which it has not been designed.

7

Do not use whilst under the influence of drugs, alcohol or intoxicating medication.

3

When not in use, store the crane in a safe, dry, childproof, area.

WARNING: Failure to heed safety and warning instructions may result in damage/personal injury, and will invalidate the warranty.
