5.1.

 

Keep winch, cable and strap clean. Inspect cable and strap regularly checking for fraying, kinks, broken strands or distortion and   

 

replace if necessary. Keep the cable and unit lightly oiled for protection. Although the winch has been fully lubricated 

  

during manufacture, periodically grease gears, reel shaft and handle threads, 

but DO NOT get oil or grease on the brake mechanism.

5.  MAINTENANCE

4.1. 

OPERATION. 

 WARNING! Before using the winch ensure you read, understand and apply Section 1 safety instructions.

Note!  Re-lubricate all shafts and gears before use.

  4.1.1. fit crank Handle assembly by inserting the hexagon socket of the crank Handle onto the end of the Main Drive Axle. screw on tightly  
 

using the enclosed hex screws and hex key.

4.1.2. to pull a load, turn the crank Handle clockwise. 
4.1.3. the load can be stopped in any position, by letting go of the handle. 

   

4.1.4. to release the cable/strap, turn the crank Handle anticlockwise. the Automatic Brake will prevent the Handle from kicking back.

 

WARNING! 

the brake function will only be activated by a minimum load of 25kg. Do not oil or grease the brake mechanism. 

4.1.5. to activate the free spool function, take off the crank Handle, and turn the hex nut anticlockwise. the drum can now be turned freely.

 

WARNING! 

With a load on the cable or strap, you can not use the free spool function.

4.1.6. to stop using the free spool function turn the hex nut clockwise back to the Auto Brake position.  
 

 

Caution! Never fully extend the cable or strap when under load. 

 

Caution! Load capacity is reduced as layers build up on the drum.
