CLEANING THE OIL DISCHARGE HOLE

7.6.1.

uring use, smaller sawdust particles may build up in the oil discharge hole impairing the oil flow to the saw chain.

7.6.2.

emove the sprocket cover, guide bar and saw chain. See section 4.1.

7.6.3. 

R

emove the small dust particles with a small flat head screw driver, a small brush or soft cloth (fig 23).

7.6.4.

einstall the sprocket cover, guide bar and saw chain. See section 4.2.8.

7.7. 

REPLACING THE SPROCKET

7.7.1.

rior to fitting a new saw chain inspect the condition of the sprocket for wear (fig 24).

7.7.2.

emove the sprocket cover, guide bar and saw chain. See section 4.1.

7.7.3. 

R

emove the sprocket cir-clip and sprocket (fig 25).

7.7.4.

nstall the new sprocket and cir-clip.

NOTE:

 Always fit a new cir-clip when replacing the sprocket.

einstall the sprocket cover, guide bar and saw chain. See section 4.2.8.

PROBLEM

CAUSE

SOLUTION

The chainsaw does not start

No battery charge

Recharge the battery cartridge. Replace the battery if 

recharging is ineffective

Mains power is switched off

The chainsaw will automatically turn off if not operated 

for a certain period. Switch the mains power on again.

The chainsaw stops working 

after minimal use

Low battery charge

Recharge the battery cartridge. Replace the battery if 

recharging is ineffective

No oil on the chain

Oil reservoir is empty

Fill the oil reservoir

Oil guide groove is dirty

Clean the groove

Poor oil delivery

Adjust the oil delivery with adjusting screw

The chain saw fails to reach 

maximum RPM

Battery cartridge is installed incorrectly

Correctly install battery cartridge

Battery power drops

Recharge the battery cartridge. Replace the battery if 

recharging is ineffective

The drive system does not work 

correctly

Repair at authorised Sealey service centre

Abnormal vibration

STOP IMMEDIATELY

Loose guide bar or saw chain

Adjust the guide bar and saw chain tension

Tool malfunction

Repair at authorised Sealey service centre
