Security Features of GoFlex Satellite
Since GoFlex Satellite is a wireless broadcasting device, it can be “seen” by any WiFi-
enabled device within its range (up to 145 feet).
Additionally, if you use GoFlex Satellite for backup as well, be aware that your files are visible
to any device that connects to your GoFlex Satellite. You can set a password to restrict
access to GoFlex Satellite, but you may not want to use GoFlex Satellite to store your
important information. See “Setting a Password” on page 24 to restrict access to your GoFlex
Satellite.
