Scope

This manual describes Seagate Technology®, Inc. Cheetah 73™ disc drives.

Cheetah 73 drives support the small computer system interface (SCSI) as described in the ANSI SCSI SPI-3
interface specifications to the extent described in this manual. The SCSI Interface Product Manual (part num-
ber 75789509) describes general SCSI interface characteristics of this and other families of Seagate drives.

From this point on in this product manual the reference to Cheetah 73 models is referred to as “the drive”
unless references to individual models are necessary.
