3 Use
The mask must be carried in its original packaging.
•
ATTENTION!
Make sure that the mask’s skirt adheres to the user’s forehead and face. There
must be no hair between the sealing edge of the mask and the user’s skin,
otherwise the mask may have leakage. This risk exists, for example, even when
the wearer of the mask has a beard or deep scars in the sealing area.
3.1 Put the mask on
•
ATTENTION!
Normal glasses cannot be worn under the mask.
1) – 2) Widen the elastic strap and position the mask correctly on the face.
3) Let the skirt adhere to the entire surface of the face.
4) Pass the elastic strap over the head, let it adhere to the neck and adjust it to the
sides of the face so that the mask is well fixed.
5) Check to have correctly performed the previous steps, and to wear the mask
correctly.
3.2 Sealing test
Before using the mask, make sure you ALWAYS perform a sealing test, to be sure the
mask perfectly sealed on your face.
Perform the sealing test after replacing the respiratory protection filter
1) Plug the air inlet hole on the filter with your hand.
2) Test the sealing by inhaling and exhaling. During this step, when you inhale, there
must be negative pressure and there must be no inflow of air.
3) If necessary, tighten the straps.
If the sealing test fails, the mask should not be used.
