INSTRUCTIONS
TO BUILD YOUR VERY OWN
BACKGROUND
The covered wagon was a staple form
of transportation in pre-industrial
America. Many pioneers traveled west
in these types of wagons.
Our wagons are designed to roll
on most surfaces. They can also be
pulled along by the locomotive that
is available as an additional science-
Seeds kit.
PREP
• Lay out your pieces so you can easily
identify them.
• Use markers or paint to decorate
the various parts to personalize your
wagon. We recommend coloring the
pieces before assembly.
• Your wagon has been laser-cut on
plywood which is not always uniform
in width. Consequently some pieces
may fit more tightly or loosely than
others.
• Use sandpaper to sand down parts if
the fit is tight.
• If the fit is loose, you can use wood
glue to secure the parts. Use small
amounts when applying the glue.
