Example: You want to read off the code under the TV button. To do so,
keep SETUP (4) pressed until the LED lights constantly. Then press TV,
SETUP, 0 in succession. For button 0 the light goes out briefly and you
note 0. Then continue by pressing 0,1. For button 1 the light goes out
briefly and you note 1 after the 0. Then continue by pressing 0,1,2,3,4,5.
For button 5 the light goes out briefly and you write 5 after 01. Then
continue by pressing 0,1,2. For button 2 the light goes out completely and
you note the 2. After 015 and have found the code 0152.

You can note the numbers on the back of the battery compartment door,
e.g. for quick code entry after replacing the batteries.
NORMAL REMOTE OPERATION
The basic functions of your appliances are operated in the same way as if you were
using the original remote controls. It is possible not every function of your original
remote control, particularly newer devices is available on the universal remote control.
Select the device to be controlled using the device buttons TV, VCR, etc. When a
button is pressed, the LED lights up.
Power On/Off
The Power On/Off is the central key on the top row of buttons. Note some devices e.g.
TVs require a numeric button (0-9) to be pressed for power on.
Volume and Channel Control
In the remote central area are found the buttons for volume control (VOL- = quieter,
Mute on/off, VOL+ = louder) and for switching channels (CHAN+ = next channel and
CHAN- = previous channel).
VOLUME PUNCH-THROUGH FUNCTIONS
Your UFB106/16 remote lets you select which device Mode controls your volume/mute
buttons. The volume buttons VOL+, VOL- and Mute can be set for individual control
by EACH device Mode or can be set for ALL device Modes to punch-through volume
control to one specific single device Mode. The remote is initially set (Factory Default)
for control by each specific device Mode.
Adjustment of ALL volume controls under a specific mode
You can allocate the volume control to one of the modes of the remote control on
condition that the volume control exists on the corresponding device (e.g. control of TV
sound in VCR, DVD, etc... mode).
•
Hold down the SETUP key until the LED remains lit.
•
Release the SETUP key.
•
Press and hold the MUTE button until the LED flashes once, then release
the MUTE button.
•
Press the required device button, e.g. TV, corresponding to the device that
will control the VOL and MUTE buttons for ALL the device Modes.
•
Press and release the MUTE key and the LED turns off.
Adjustment of the volume controls for EACH mode
You can set the volume control to be individually functional for each mode selected on
condition that the volume control exists on the corresponding device (e.g. control of
the television set sound in TV mode, the control of the sound of the SAT receiver in
SAT mode, ...).

Hold down the SETUP key until the LED remains lit.
•
Release the SETUP key.
•
Press and hold the MUTE button until the LED flashes once, then release
the MUTE button.
•
Press the required device button, e.g. DVD, corresponding to the device
that will control its own VOL and MUTE buttons.
•
Press and release the VOL - key once.
•
Press and release the MUTE key once and the LED turns off.
Second level keys
By pressing the button SETUP followed by any other button allows access to any
second level function for that button. Not all buttons have second level functions.
Button Backlighting
If you have purchased UFB116, this remote offers a button backlighting feature. Press
and release the Light button to turn the button backlighting feature on or off. When
backlighting feature is off, it can only be turned again by pressing the Light button.
When the backlight feature is turned on, pressing any button will turn the button
backlighting on for five seconds.
