Basic safety notes
2.1
Product safety
The product corresponds to the state of the technology and the recognized safety rules. Neverthe-
less, hazards may emanate from the product if, for example:
•
The product is not used as intended.
•
The product is improperly installed, maintained, stored or transported.
•
The safety and assembly instructions are not observed.
•
Any working method which could impair the function and operational safety of the
product must be avoided.
2.2
Intended use
The complete system is intended exclusively for use in machine tools for the acquisition of process
data of the iTENDO².
The complete system may only be used and operated with the
“iTENDO²
-
APP” application
soft-
ware pre-installed by the manufacturer.
•
The iTENDO² is also used to hold, clamp and reliably hold tools with predefined shanks.
•
The complete system may only be used within the scope of the specifications in the tech-
nical data (see technical data).
•
Intended use also includes keeping conditions according to all the instructions in this man-
ual.
2.3
Non intended use
The product is not used for its intended purpose if, for example:
•
Workpieces or similar are held and clamped.
•
The specifications in the technical data are not observed when using and operating the
product. (see technical data)
•
The toolholder is used as a lifting tool.
•
The specified minimum clamping depth is not maintained.
•
The product is operated in corrosive mediums.
•
The maintenance and storage specifications are not observed.
•
The connection with devices that are not recommended by SCHUNK.
