Installing the Cross Bolts
The FM-350 is equipped with two 3/4 x 5” cross
bolts to add additional support through the frame.
When the frame is set in it’s final length, use the
holes from the rear frame to locate and drill holes
through the front frame. Drill these holes with a 25/
32” drill bit. Install the 3/4” x 5” cross bolts as shown
using a 3/4” locking flange nut.
NOTE: If the pilot holes are obstructed or the
through hole interferes with a support or hydraulic
hose clamp, drill a new hole through both tubes as
close as will not interfere.
When drilling near hydraulic hoses, be sure to protect the hose by sliding a piece of metal
between the hose and tube. If a hose is damaged in this process, contact Schulte Service
Department for assistance and replacement parts.

With the frame length set, measure the distance from the back of the cross plate (next to the steady block) - F1
- to the rear edge of the Tube Mount Strap - F2.
Cut the supplied 3” x 3” tube (Part F115-122) to length ‘F’.
Install the cut tube using the two 3/8” x 3” x 4” U-bolts and locknuts. BE SURE TO INSTALL WITH THE INSIDE
WELD SEAM ON THE BOTTOM.
