3 Mounting
3.1 General mounting instructions
Three mounting holes are provided for fixing the enclosure. The soleno-
id interlock has double insulation. The use of a protective ground con-
nector therefore is not authorised. The solenoid interlock must not be
used as an end stop. Any mounting position, provided that the ingress
of dirt and soiling in the used opening is avoided. In case of painting
activities, the components must be covered. In case of horizontal fitting,
the cover plate (figure 1) located at the rear side of the actuating head
must be removed. If a different actuating direction is desired, the four
screws of the actuating head must be unscrewed. Turn the actuating
head in the desired direction and retighten the screws. (Tightening
torque 0.5 Nm). The default screws in the actuating head can be repla-
ced with the supplied tamperproof screws. For power-to-unlock compo-
nents (TZKF...), the actuator must be inserted when the actuating head
is turned. For fitting the components onto profile, the TZK/APL.. (figure
2) mounting plate must be used. After the assembly, the mounting plate
must be fixed (e.g. by pinning).
Please observe the remarks of the standards EN ISO 12100,
EN 953 and EN 1088.
When used in ambient temperatures > 40°C, the solenoid
interlock must be protected against contact with inflammable
materials or inadvertent personal contact.
