Kontrolle der relativen Luftfeuchte

Zur Messung der relativen Feuchten der Raumluft empfehlen wir moderne Messgeräte, die auch nach 
Jahren korrekte Messwerte liefern. 

Servicearbeiten oder Schäden an einem Instrument, deren Ursache auf ständige und/oder extreme 
Schwankungen der Raumtemperaturen bzw. anhaltend zu hohe/zu niedrige relative Luftfeuchten 
zurückzuführen sind, unterliegen weder etwaigen Garantieversprechen von Schimmel oder des 
Fachhändlers noch den gesetzlichen Gewährleistungen.

Holz, Filze und Leder sind Naturwerkstoff e. Diese Materialien reagieren auf die klimatischen Gegebenheiten im 
Umfeld des Instrumentes. Besondere Vorkehrungen zur Einhaltung unschädlicher Schwankungen der Raum tem-
peraturen und relativen Luftfeuchte sind deshalb zum Vorteil des Instrumentes, verbessern die Stimmstabilität, 
reduzieren negative Einfl üsse auf die Spielbarkeit, minimieren Spannungsänderungen im Resonanzboden, schonen 
die Holzkomponenten des Klangkörpers und verlängern die Lebensdauer des Instrumentes.

Jede Veränderung der Raumtemperatur bewirkt auch immer eine Änderung der relativen Luftfeuchte. Häufi ge 
starke und anhaltende Schwankungen der Raumtemperaturen sind zu minimieren oder zu vermeiden. Plötzliche 
und starke Temperaturwechsel (auch länger anhaltend), insbesondere auch schnelles und extremes Aufheizen 
des Raumes ist vor allem bei tiefen Außentemperaturen zu vermeiden, da dadurch die relative Luftfeuchtigkeit 
innerhalb kurzer Zeit sehr stark sinkt. Raumtemperaturen unter 10° Celsius sollten vermieden werden. 
Temperatur schocks sind in jedem Fall zu vermeiden (vor allem während und unmittelbar nach Transporten).

Relative humidity can easily be measured and monitored using modern digital measuring devices which are 
available from electronics stores or your piano technician. 

Neither Schimmel, its agents, successors and assigns, nor its authorized dealers, their successors and 
assigns, is, are or shall be in any way responsible for any damage to the piano of any kind whatsoever, 
direct or consequential, caused by or resulting from frequent fl uctuations of relative humidity beyond 
comfortable levels as described or from longer lasting extremes of too high or too low relative humidity.

For grands and uprights a stable room climate is advantageous in many ways, because wood, felt and leather are 
hygroscopic by nature: expanding with humidity and contracting with the lack of humidity. Prudent attention to 
ambient climatic conditions (the swings of temperature and relative humidity) can reduce extensive repairs and 
service to your instrument, improve the tuning stability, minimize changes of internal tension in the soundboard 
and other wooden components and preserve and stabilize the instrument over the years. 

All changes in room temperature result in a corresponding change in the relative air humidity. Signifi cant, 
repeated and longer lasting changes of room temperature should be minimised or avoided. Sudden and drastic 
changes in temperature, especially if repeated over longer periods of time cause the relative levels of humidity 
in the room to fl uctuate drastically unless otherwise controlled and are detrimental to the instrument and may 
void the warranty. Room temperatures below 10°C (50°F) should be avoided. It is also important that pianos are 
not exposed to extreme temperature or humidity changes (especially in and after transport).

Pour mesurer l’humidité relative de l’air ambiant, la solution idéale serait de faire l’acquisition d’un 
hygromètre moderne équipé de capteurs capacitifs faisant preuve d’une bonne stabilité à long terme. 

Les travaux de service après-vente ou les dommages à un instrument dont l’origine provient de 
variations constantes et/ou extrémes de l’humidité relative de l’air ou d’un niveau trop haut ou trop 
bas de celleci n’entrent ni dans les obligations de garantie de Schimmel ou du revendeur spécialiste 
ni dans l’obligation de garantie légale.

Climat ambiant favorable

Le bois, le feutre et le cuir sont des matières naturelles. Ces matériaux réagissent aux conditions climatiques 
dans l’environnement de l’instrument. L’instrument bénéfi cie des mesures spéciales prises pour éviter des 
modifi cations dommageables de la température de la pièce et de son humidité relative. Elles favorisent la 
stabilité de l’accord, réduisent les infl uences négatives sur le jeu et le toucher, minimisent les changements 
de tension à l’intérieur de la table d’harmonie, ménagent les éléments de bois de la structure harmonique et 
prolongent la durée de vie de l’instrument. 

Toute modifi cation de la température de la pièce entraîne toujours une modifi cation de l’humidité relative de 
l’air. Les variations fréquentes de la température ambiante et donc de l’humidité relative de l’air doivent être 
minimisées ou évitées. Evitez de brusques et forts écarts de température (et ceux de longue duré), en particulier 
l’augmentation rapide et extrême de la température, ce qui entraîne une très forte réduction du taux d’humidité 
en un temps éclair. Les températures ambiantes inférieures à 10°C ainsi que les brusques variations de tempé-
rature sont à éviter. Il faut absolument mettre l’instrument à l’abri des chocs thermiques (surtout en cours de 
transports).
