OPERATING TIPS
1. Start the unit in motion
BEFORE
engaging the reel to prevent unnecessary damage to the turf and to
avoid bogging down the engine. Disengage the reel before stopping forward motion.
2. Make all passes across the turf at a uniform speed.
3. Disengage the reel at the end of each pass and before slowing or stopping to make a turn. This prevents
turf damage while turning the unit.
4. If the engine bogs down while going through a thick patch of turf, push down on the handle just enough to
raise the reel and allow the engine to return to normal speed.
NOTE
: Never cross hard objects or surfaces (such as sidewalks, driveways, stepping stones, etc.) with the
reel engaged. Severe blade damage may occur.
