CONNECTIONS
1 Coaxial SPDIF Digital Output. Connect this
to your DAC with a high-quality cable. If you’d
like, you can even use a fancy “75 ohm” version,
though this doesn’t make a huge difference in
performance, unless you’re using some
unshielded, hand-braided thing that’s
inappropriate to digital.
2 USB Input. Connect this to your computer with
a short (2M or less) USB A-B cable that’s true
USB 2.0 rated. An old printer cable may not cut
it. Yak-hair insulated hand-braided versions may
not cut it either. You may need to install drivers
on some Windows versions. The drivers are
available at schiit.com/drivers
3 Power Switch. Up is on. Down is off.
Feel free to leave it on all the time if you like.
4 Power Input. Connect only to the
Schiit-supplied 6VAC wall-wart, or bad things
may happen.
