Removing the arc chamber
Prior to the following tests/checks, the arc chamber
must be removed from the housing of the contactor.

Checking the main contacts for wear (both station-
ary contacts and moving contact bridge)

Checking the arc chamber for wear
X
Press the latching lever (1) sideways slightly away
from the contactor and keep it in this position.

Remove the arc chamber (2) upwards from the
housing.

Inserting the arc chamber
(Refer to
Fig. 17 and Fig. 18
)

Press the latching lever (1) sideways slightly away
from the contactor and keep it in this position.

Insert the arc chamber (2) into the housing.
X
Release the latching lever (1) so that the small pin
(3) on the housing slides into the hole on the latch-
ing lever (1).
X
Make sure that the arch chamber is latched se-
curely.
