REPLACING THE BLADES
Step 1: Loosen the spring
NOTE
If several holding tongs are available, the procedure can be carried out more
quickly by processing all the springs at the same time.
•
Adapt the holding tongs to the spring diameter.
•
Tension one of the springs and separate the blade to be replaced from the rest.
•
Fasten the spring with the holding tongs.
Step 2: Remove the components
•
Unscrew the lag screws.
•
Remove the lag screws, spacers and the desired blades.
NOTE
Do not dispose of the first blade removed! This is the only one
provided with a counterbore and will be inserted again at the end
of the process.
Step 3: Replace the defective blades
•
Insert the new blades at their position.
Step 4: Insertion
•
Insert the spacers and the blades that are not defective. At the end, insert the
blade with counterbore!
•
Insert the lag screws and tighten them.
•
Loosen the holding pliers.
Step 4: Repeat the procedure for the other springs
•
Repeat the procedure for the other springs (if a simultaneous processing was
not possible).
•
If the tension between the springs must be increased, the lag screw can be ad-
justed at the end of the process.
