Link all dmx devices with a dmx-512 controller by using a standard, 3-pin DMX
cable.
Connect the output -4- of the first device with the input -5- of the second devi-
ce and the output of the second device with the input of the third device and
so on.
Connect the mains plug to an outlet and switch the device on -1- with the on/off
switch -1-.
Operating the product for the first time may generate smoke and odour; this is
not a defect. Avoid dis/connecting the product repeatedly and quickly from/with
mains! Always wait 15 minutes prior to the next dis/connection!
The device starts not until a selt-testing and starting time.
The two control LEDs on the back of the device show you the following functions:
- If the DMX control LED -I- is illuminated this means that device is receiving DMX data.
- If the heater control LED -II- is shining red the device is in heat-up mode.
- If the heater control LED -II- is shining green the fluid has reached the right
temperature and the device is ready for operation.
- If the heater control LED -II- is flashing green this means that the fluid is too
hot, the device will start to spray out fog.
As soon as the device's heat up and self-testing phase has ended “ADDR:001”
can be seen on the display -III-. Press the enter button -VII- and the display will
start flashing. By using the up and down buttons -V/VI- you can choose the des-
ired DMX address. By pressing the enter button -VII- you confirm the DMX
address. If you press the ESC button -IV- the adjustment will not be saved.

8. Lamps
During operation, the lamps will reach temperatures of up to 200°C. Touching
the lamps may cause serious burns! Objects coming into contact with the
lamps during and shortly after operation may catch fire!
Disconnect the product from mains prior to installing or before changing a
lamp!

Zunächst müssen alle Scanic Geräte mit einem handelsüblichen, 3poligen
DMX-Kabel (XLR) und einem DMX-512 Steuergerät verbunden werden.
Verbinden Sie nun den Ausgang -4- des ersten Gerätes mit dem Eingang -5-
des zweiten Gerätes, den Ausgang des zweiten Gerätes mit dem Eingang des
3 Gerätes usw..
Schließen Sie den Netzstecker zunächst an die Netzsteckdose an und schalten
Sie das Gerät nun mit dem Ein/Aus-Schalter -1- ein.
Wenn Sie das Produkt zum ersten Mal in Betrieb nehmen, kann es zu Rauch-
und Geruchsentwicklung kommen; dies stellt keinen Fehler dar. Vermeiden Sie
es, das Produkt schnell nacheinander mit dem Netz zu verbinden und es wie-
der vom Netz zu trennen! Warten Sie immer 15 Minuten bis zur nächsten
Inbetrieb-, bzw. Außerbetriebnahme!
Das Gerät startet erst nach einer Aufwärm- und Selbsttest-Phase.
Die beiden Kontroll-LEDs auf der Geräterückseite zeigen folgende Zustände an:
- Leuchtet die DMX-Kontroll-LED -I- auf, so empfängt das Gerät DMX-Daten.
- Leuchtet die Heater-Kontroll-LED -II- rot auf, so befindet sich das Gerät in der
Nebel-Aufwärmphase.
- Leuchtet die Heater-Kontroll-LED -II- grün, so ist die Nebelflüssigkeit aufge-
heizt und das Gerät darf betätigt werden.
- Blitzt die Heater-Kontroll-LED -II- grün auf, so ist die Nebelflüssigkeit zu heiß
geworden, das Gerät startet dann einen automatischen Nebelauswurf.
Sobald die Aufwärm- und Selbsttestphase des Gerätes abgeschlossen ist,
erscheint „ADDR:001“ auf dem Display -III-. Drücken Sie nun die Enter-Taste -
VII- und die Anzeige beginnt zu blinken. Mittels der Up/Down-Tasten -V/VI- kön-
nen Sie die DMX-Adresse bestimmen. Durch Drücken der Enter-Taste -VII- bestä-
tigen Sie die DMX-Adresse. Drücken Sie die ESC-Taste -IV- so wird die
Einstellung nicht übernommen.

8. Leuchtmittel
Die Leuchtmittel erreichen bei Betrieb Temperaturen von bis zu 200 Grad
Celsius. Berührungen mit den Leuchtmitteln können schwere Verbrennungen
zur Folge haben! Gegenstände, die mit den Leuchtmitteln während und kurz
nach dem Betrieb in Berührung kommen, können in Brand geraten!
Trennen Sie vor der Installation oder vor dem Wechsel von einem Leuchtmittel
das Produkt unbedingt vom Netz!
