Maintenance

Remove the battery pack from the tool before carrying out any adjustment, servicing
or maintenance.

Your tool requires no additional lubrication or maintenance.
There are no user serviceable parts in your power tool. Never use water or chemical
cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always store your power
tool in a dry place. Keep the motor ventilation slots clean. Keep all working controls
free of dust. Occasionally you may see sparks through the ventilation slots. This is
normal and will not damage your power tool.

Cleaning And Storage

•  Never use water to clean the unit.
•  Always clean the hedge trimmer immediately after use. Brush the blade using a stiff
nylon brush to remove any debris.
•  Always store the hedge trimmer in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children.
•  Do not place other objects on top of the machine.
•  Inspect the hedge trimmer before each use.
•  Have the unit professionally repaired if any damage occurs.
•  The blade rail should be cleaned and treated with fine oil after each use.
•  Use the blade sheath for transportation and storage.

Lubricating The Cutting Blade (See Fig. G)

For easier operation and longer life, lubricate the cutting blades before and after
each use. Before lubricating, make sure the battery pack is removed from your hedge
trimmer. Apply the oil so that it runs between the two blades. Common light duty/
machine oil can be used.
Your trimmer should be stopped, disconnected and oiled occasionally during use.

Storing Your Hedge Trimmer

Store in a dry place where the trimmer can be protected from damage.

WARNING: Always remove the battery pack from the tool before cleaning or
repairing.
