8.4 How To Acknowledge A VMEbus Backplane Interrupt
Configure the
T-INT
jumpers (see section 4.5) on the VMEbus adapter
card to transmit the desired backplane interrupt(s) across the cable.
1.
Make sure the adapter has been initialized. See section 8.1.
2.
Install your interrupt handler.
3.
Wait for the interrupt(s). When the interrupt handler is executed, it must
generate an interrupt acknowledge cycle on the VMEbus to clear the
interrupt and retrieve the interrupt vector from the interrupting device.
4.
Write the IACK code bits to Remote Command Register 1.
5.
Do a word or byte read of the IACK Read Register to generate an
Interrupt Acknowledge Cycle on the VMEbus, and return the Status ID
(interrupt vector) of the interrupting device.
6.
The interrupt handler continues with task specific operations, and returns
to foreground code when finished.
8.5 How To Acknowledge A Programmed Interrupt (PT) From
VMEbus
Configure the
T-INT
jumpers (see section 4.5) on the VMEbus adapter
card to transmit the PT Interrupt across the cable.
1.
Make sure the adapter has been initialized. See section 8.1.
2.
Install your interrupt handler.
