Quick test of the WVGA panel
■ A web application must first be loaded into the Saia PCD that was created with
the Web Editor (see 26-838_Manual_Web-Editor). Ask the SBC Support team for
some examples. They will also soon be available on our website.
■ With a
CAT5 cable
, you can connect the display PCD7.D4xx to the Saia PCD.
The display supports auto-crossing so that a crossover cable is no longer re
-
quired.
■ Defining the
HW settings of the Saia PCD
with the PG5: The S-Bus support
must be selected together with the TCP/IP channel in which a valid IP address
must be en-tered.
Setup settings of the WVGA panel:
Configure the WVGA panel by opening the
setup menu
(see chapter 4):
■ First make sure that they are in the same
subnet of the network
as the PCD. An
exam-ple: If the Saia PCD IP address is 192.168.12.92, enter an IP address such
as 192.168.12.90 at your terminal (in the network menu) as the subnet mask is
normally 255.255.255.0.
■ In the configuration menu, enter the
address of the start page
that corresponds
to the IP address of the Saia PCD and also the name of the HTML start page.
Now the MB panel should be connected to the Saia PCD and the selected start
page should be displayed on the monitor. Now you can navigate through your web
-
sites!
