2. Connection type
(Subwoofer in a surround system)
If your surround amplifier or receiver has a Line-subwoofer output (sub pre-out),
this can be used by connecting the subwoofer with a RCA cable. If your surround
amplifier has no such output, please use the first connection variant.
If you have connected your subwoofer to the Line-subwoofer output of your sur-
round amplifier, bass management is configured as follows:
Subwoofer:
yes
Front/Centre/Rear:
large/small (depending on their size)
When you turn on your subwoofer please proceed as described under the “Setup”
section below.

If your surround amplifier or receiver has an LFE output (Low Frequency Enhance-
ment), it can be used by connecting it to the LFE jack on the subwoofer
