commencing any work.
This fitting must be fitted to a suitable track that has
been properly installed.
Install in accordance with IEE Wiring regulations and
current Building Regulations.
To prevent electrocution switch off at mains supply
before installing or maintaining this fitting. Ensure
other persons cannot restore the electrical supply
without your knowledge. If you are in any doubt,
please consult a qualified electrician.
This light fitting should be connected to a fused circuit.
Always ensure that you always use the correct
wattage lamp to match the control gear. Use of
incorrect lamp will damage the lamp and the control
gear. Do not operate with a failed bulb or without a
bulb as this may damage the unit.
When changing a bulb, always switch off at the mains
and allow the old bulb to cool down before handling.
As with all metal halide fixtures, the unit must be
allowed to cool down after switching off before the
lamp is able to re-ignite.
Dispose of used bulbs carefully and responsibly.
This product is not suitable for dimming.
This product must not be connected to a PIR
movment sensor.
This product is rated at IP65.
This product is not suitable for location in or near a
marine environment.
The entire unit gets hot whilst on for a period of time.

Layout
• Plan the desired layout of this fitting carefully,
ensuring the cables will reach the distance between
the junction box and the light fitting.
• Avoid locating any cables in positions that would
cause a hazard. Position cables and outdoor rated
junction boxes (not supplied) away from areas
where they may be at risk from being cut, trapped or
damaged.
• We recommend that you use H05RN-F specification
cable (not supplied) which is an outdoor grade,
rubber sheathed cable. The mains supply cable must
have a minimum cross sectional area of 1.0mm²
• Cables must be protected using suitable conduit or
plastic trunking.
• Fitting must be positioned 350mm (A) away from
surfaces above the fitting.
Existing fittings must be completely removed before
installation of a new product. Before removing the
existing fitting, carefully note the position of each set
of wires.
• Decide on the most appropriate position based on
the layout instructions given above.
• We recommend that the bracket is removed from the
product to assist the fitting of the product. Make a
note of the postion of the washers.
• Hold the product or bracket in place and mark the
position of the holes. Ensure that the product is
level.
• Ensure the wall is capable of holding the weight
of the product. Take care to avoid damaging
any concealed wiring and pipes. The correct
fixings should be used for brick, cavity walls or
plasterboard. Fix the product to the wall.
• Using fixings appropriate to the weight of the fitting
and the mounting surface, secure the fitting in
position.
• Undo the screws holding the wiring cover in place
and set aside.
