Deleting part of a video clip

Display the video clip you wish to edit.

Display the scene you wish to delete.

In step 5 you will specify whether you wish to delete the portion from
the beginning of the video clip up to the selected scene, or the portion
from the selected scene to the end of the video clip.

To select the desired scene quickly, you can use a combination of the
fast-forward (or reverse) playback, pause, and image-by-image
playback functions (page 44).

The actual cut point may be slightly before or after the displayed
scene.
