PROGRAMMED EDITING USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
Setting the programmed editing
You can select up to 5 segments of your recorded tape,
and copy them to a VCR.
Example:
To select segments A,
B
and C from a
recorded tape and copy them in the order A,
C,
B.

Playback the tape in the camcorder. When the tape
has reached the beginning of the desired segment,
point A 1, press the
MEMO
button.

will start flashing
on the remote control monitor display and the counter
reading, for the recording start position, is memorized.

Press the
MEMO
button again at the end of the
desired segment, point A2.

will light (stop flashing)
and the counter reading, for the recording end
position, is memorized.

Repeat steps

for segments C and
B
in that
order.
When the 3 segments have been selected,

will be displayed on the remote control monitor display.

When finished setting the programmed editing, press
the
STOP
button to stop the tape in the camcorder.

If you need to fast-forward the tape or use the scene
search function to locate the beginning or the end of
a segment, make sure to go back to normal
playback before pressing the
MEMO
button.
•The segments should be at least 5 seconds long for
the programmed editing to function correctly.
•While setting a programmed editing, the counter
cannot be reset.
•The programmed editing function uses the counter
readings to locate the start and end of the segments.
In some cases, the start and end positions may not
match the exact programmed positions.
